Lipari School on Computational Complex and Social Systems

This summer school will provide opportunities to collect experience with modern data analysis, in particular Big Data analytics. This includes subjects to mine data in the Internet of Things. Our main and special guest lectures, which are recognized authorities in such a field, will address such a scope focusing on algorithms, computational models and practical results.

This edition of the Lipari School on Computational Complex and Social Systems will be focused on "Cities of citizens : biosensors, social modeling and participatory computing"

Two kinds of participants are welcome.

Students: Participants who are expected to do afternoon coursework and take a final exam (The grades will be given following the ECTS grading scale). The course will involve a total of 24 hours of teaching. According to our university rules passing the final exam gives right to an equivalent of 6 ECTS credits in any Ph.D. program.

Auditors: participants who are not interested in taking the final exam.

Lipari School on Computational Complex and Social Systems 2017 will be hosted in Sicily (Hotel Aktea, Lipari, Messina), from 16-22 July 2017.
